If we were villains is an astonishingly good read. It has incredible characters that will stay with you for a long while. It has an atmosphere of a dark academia novel, with the prestigious private school full of students obsessed with their discipline. It has a fascinating plot as we observe the close-knit group of young people unravel. This book has elements of a crime story and a psychological novel. Personally, I became obsessed with the characters and the dynamics between them. I believe the book is worth everyone’s attention just because of them.
